77kw is a power rating for the engine, it works out to approx 105hp (a decent amount of power for a small van)

Not too sure what the DSD is about. (maybe diesel)

DSD = Double sliding doors (one on each side of the van)

    If it's 2004 onwards it's the MK3 (Chassis code 2k) and they're a pretty solid van.

    Thing's to look for :

    * If it has a hitch or has carried heavy weight, check the that the clutch isn't slipping or that the flywheel isn't on the way out. The Caddy has a really long 1st gear and when it's loaded up with weight, 99% of people will slip the clutch to take off.

    * The lower hinges on the sliding doors are prone to failing.

    * Engine / gearbox mounts can also go, as with every car / van I suppose.

    * Mine had a small boost leak, which is just a pain in the arse to find and repair.

Other than that they're fairly bullet proof, return a reliable 45MPG (55MPG with a remap) and are comfortable and quiet to drive.

I was thinking about this again and I don't think double sliding doors is correct. I checked out my old caddy (06) with one sliding door and it came back with this "1.9 TDI 77KW DSD 6DR VAN 77K" on cartell, then I checked out my new(ish) van, a Caddy Maxi with twin sliding doors and it came back with this "MAXI 1.9 TDI 77KW"

Then again it's the Irish authorities we are talking about here so it could be anything.

The one im looking at has a single sliding door, but it said dsd when i checked it on motorcheck.ie, no towbar on it so it wasnt pulling anything unless it was taken off for the ad.

    could be double swing doors?

but 6 door would have to be double sliding doors as well.

On toyotas, RSD is rear swing doors and DSD is double sliding doors?
