What sort of fittings are on the back of the fridge. Can you post a pic?

Dont extend it with the small bore stuff, use that to get to the next cupboard or accessible panel, make it on to a washing machine valve, then bring it in 1/2" from there to your mains tee off point. Simple!

Exactly... Run half inch as far as possible and then finish in small bore. Any good plumbers providers will see you right.

Thanks for the replys,i have tried p j mathews and a load of others incl gas part supp, they have nothing that reduces half inch to 4mm even bringing it down in stages,it would also have to reduce it twice at the filter as well as the fridge, there is a metal reducer on the mains now that came with the fridge but thats it,so thats why i thought it would be easier to just put in a new line with the suitable psi.

that screws onto the washing machine valve.

    Fridge ---- white small bore
into press next to the fridge ---- inline filter
more white small bore pipe ---- metal reducer ---- washing machine valve
1/2" qualplex/copper to your mains with a tee piece.
