(Ok, don't take this too seriously - just a bitta fun!)

After yesterday's huge response to my first photoshoot over on Flickr, I decided to look deeper into the info. Over 1000 views on my stream in one day - 1/10 of my overall views came in one day - the rest took THREE YEARS!

I added some terms that were pretty tongue in cheek, i.e. 'topless' for a picture of a topless bloke, or bikini because well, there was bikinis. And here's a sample of the responses:

    4662400177_db945031ac_b.jpg

    and:
    4662400295_5923f74291_b.jpg

So there ya go! If you wanna raise those 'hits' on flickr, get wimmins in their knickers. Pretty sure it's the last time I'll be adding those sort of tags - the amount of favourites I got from profiles that were 'unavailable to me' was a little bit too seedy for my liking!

...that said I did get some religious nut telling me the internet was no place for seedy & obscene images. I thought it was a joke 'til I visited his FlickrStream...

In summary, Flickr is full of perverts and lunatics! :pac:

haha 'bikini'. Hardly the raciest of search terms.

But yeah, Flickr looks quite nice and friendly and normal on the outside, but every now and again it rolls over, and you catch a glimpse of the seamy underbelly. My block list is quite long. Interestingly enough it's probably composed in almost equal parts of porn spammers, religious nutcases, and people with no pictures available who fave stuff.

    Exactly.

Still bikini isn't that bad - I can only image what more 'blue' terms would have done! :pac:

Taking the safe-search off in flickr is a good way to have the retinas fall out of your head. I took it off to look for a gore-y image for college and I couldn't type anything without being faced with some dangly appendage.

My blocked list is unnecessarily long too. But then again I'm not part of any flickr community - I just use it to store. Seems less friendly that it was when I started though

interesting experiment - i'm still amused at how many times a photo of a door i took in spain gets viewed just through people searching for ''fantastic knockers'' :p

I remember reading about something like this before. Somebody put a load of 'blue' tags onto a landscape pic....Just goes to show what we all knew...theres lots of seedy characters online

But of the 1200 hits, the link from your other thread must account for about 200-300 hits alone (since it has been viewed 350 or so times)

hehe nice one, I remember with this photo
    320347874_5abee0bed9.jpg

Has lots of views on my flickr, never understood it, but checking the tags i had stuck "nude beach" in there :D:D

    It's a beach in Wexford btw - and afaik isn't a nude one- i can't imagine
these in Ireland just yet tbh! :D

I found that photos of mine were gettings hits from people using the search term 'White Power'. It was a modelling shot where the description had the strobist info - White shoot thru brolly, flash on full Power! Mad!

Been done a million times but sure here goes: "Hi, I'm an admin for a group called Beautiful Picture's with Beautiful women's bikinis, and we'd love to have this added to the group! " :p

Ha-ha, this is good insight into how not to tag your pictures.
    Thanks, mehfesto!

took a photo of my sister and her boyfriend's bare feet in a series in style of an engagement shoot.... made the mistake of tagging it with the term "barefoot"...

I didn't even think of the implications but removed the tag after it had gotten 60+ views in the first couple of hours it was up (and the others had only had 0 to 2)
