FLAC - Other legal options?

Genuine request for help here. To cut a long story short, I was in to a FLAC and was advised that I need a solicitor. Between loans and mortgage arrears and no income, I don't see how I can afford one. Are there options for legal aid? If so, how do i go about requesting this? I can see various pieces of info online, but if you have been down this road yourself I would appreciate your input.

    Thanks.

Hey - depending on what your legal issue is, you might be eligible for free legal aid from the Legal Aid Board. Be warned that there are significant waiting lists, and that you will be means tested, and depending on your means, they might charge you some kind of fee (which is usually significantly lower than what a private solicitor would cost).
Your best bet is to google "Legal Aid Board", find your local office, and then call in there to start the process of applying as soon as you can.
    Good luck!
