Go for the Viessmann. It's more expensive but will last you longer. There is a better warranty with them too. I installe Vokera too but Viessmann would be the boiler I would put in my own house. Dont get me wrong Vokera are o.k.

Viessmann are German and the Gerries use top notch stuff and pay for it too.

    My opinion.

    1) Viessmann, Worcester Bosch, Vaillant
    2) Vokera, Ariston, Glow-Worm, Potterton
    3) Baxi

To be fair, they aren't bad prices. I would stay away from Vokera personally. Viessmann are a good boiler but you need to know how to use the boiler to get full effect. Also make sure your system is cleaned before installation as they will all underpreform if this isn't done.

Its one of the conditions for the 5 year warranty iirc

Go for GRANT then. More efficient and better built. Oh and a few quid cheaper. Turco are good too but not as efficient as GRANT. There is more out there than Firebird.

ya, most boiler makers are the same and that inhibitor is added afterward. wonder how many installers follow all the rules.

Mine didn't. Lasted two years and all the rads were only heating at the edges. Had to take off the rads and rinse them out, get a sludge removed and add it in for a week or two, and then get an inhibitor. Such a pain for something that should have been done at the start.

plumbers seem to want to fit specific boilers only.

leaning towards the viesmann 100-w 2 zone wall stat cylinder stat 7 day timer rad controls have 12 rads €2700 total.
    cridit union loan €700 grant

Is that price before or after the grant? It's quite low considering the boiler is just over a grand, and then your trv's your zoning and the power flush of the system.

Is he power flushing the system or just draining down?
