How many clubs have a first aid kit available and what should be in it?

I suppose the first thing that comes to mind is being struck by a ball. Depending where; what action and material should be used to reduce swelling. Is it a good thing to try and reduce swelling? Basically, pain relief without ingestion of medicines is preferred.
Insect stings and bits? How to deal with Anaphylaxis.

Any Doctors on boards who are also golfers?

I was on a website recently, not sure, but i think it was Corrstown, and it said they had a de-fibrilater and trained staff now. Going forward, I beleieve eevery club should try and attain this standard. Worth a hell of a lot more than a box of bandages.

I have a feeling that all sports clubs (of any sport) need to have this...I know mine does.

    Thanks Guys,

defib we have but it's of no value unless it's on a H&S schedule for periodic testing (battery, pads etc..). My gripe is with clubs that purchase and leave it there is a box on the wall for years without periodically checking its status. Then when it's needed it's of no value.

I was thinking more in the lines of cold compresses, etc..

I did a search on the www under 'being struck by a golf ball' and all I can find is some guy being struck in the nuts with a golf ball!
