Hi folks, ive noticed a residenial building that has been boarded up about a mile away from where I live and was considering trying to get in touch with its owner. Im looking to let it for business purposes and am wondering how I can find and contact its owner to enquire about its status. Anybody have any ideas?

If it is a listed building, consult your local development plan. Usually, down here anyrode, they have information attached to the appendix of the current known ownership of it.
Set up camp and claim squatters rights:D otherwise

Go to the land registry office (now known as the property registration authority) and do a search there for the registered owner.

You could also go the local planning office (or online) and check if any planning applications were made for the property. You would get a name from it.

What's the deal with that squatters rights malarky? There's a boarded up house in D4 with a little tent in the overgrown garden. Is this somebody chancing their arm at getting a property worth a few hundred k for just camping for a few years?
