I know there is a book called building regulations in europe that takes 8 EU countries regulations into account. I dont know if it has Irelands regs in it or if its the book il need. So if anyone knows what the name of the Irish one is or where i can download it id be very greatfull, thank you:)

Each of the TGD's and Building Control Acts etc are downloadable from the Dept Of Env. webpage. Alternativly you can buy them in a bookshop

Concerning the energy efficiency of buildings you might find some info here:

The IBCI (Irish Building Control Institue) website has links to English (& Welsh), Scottish & Northern Ireland Building Control. The Dept of Environ provides Irish Building Regulations downloads of each TGD. They download quite quickly.

From these you will get links to download each Countries Regulations.
Would 4 or 5 European Countries be enough?
IBCI also have links to European directives regarding EU Building Regulations.
