Ok i scoured the place to find a thread dedicated to this wonderful, wonderful show with no real joy.

I am after steaming through the first 3 seasons. It is so good its almost unhealthy. Every character is brilliantly funny in their own way especially tina fey and alec baldwin. The plotlines and jokes are original and it is certainly not afraid to hit taboos head on with some blase racist remarks and homophobia. Ireland the gayest country in the world?

It is a shocking pity it is not given the air time it deserves with rubbish like 2 and a half men on every hour,

    30 rock i salute you

    Agreed! Great show!

Only time i had really seen Tina Fay was when the missus made me wtch the HORRIBLE Baby Mama so it took me a while to watch this. But when i did i couldn't stop. Flew through the first 3 seasons.

Recently started watching Series 4 and i have to say, it's the best one. The show seams to get funnier (although the cameos start to come thick and fast, some seam a bit contrived)

Each part is played brilliantly too. I have no idea why people overlook this yet they watch Two and a Half Men (or Two and a Half Jokes as i like to call it)

Its one of those shows i only catch snippets of, think it looks outstanding and plan on watching it all... haven't got around to it yet. And as for 2 and a half men, i know its stupid of me but i cant help but lose a tiny bit of respect for people when they say they like it.

Best sitcom on at the moment. By a long long way. Curb Your Enthusiasm the only other candidate and that isn't really a conventional sitcom. But compared to other once-decent sitcoms like The Office and How I Met Your Mother its the only one with laughs left.

I don't know who actually chooses to watch two and a half men, its just on the tv. I'm skeptical of how many fans it actually has.

im just finished season 3 now. i didnt know what comedy was till i watched this show!! its so brilliant, the writing is outstanding. my favourite is tracy, some of his scenes are laugh out loud. Baldwin is priceless in his role as jack and of course tina fey is a genius for creating this(i also think she is really really cute). she is just one funny woman. i dont know what i did before this show. have to get season 4 yet!

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get into this? I'm only three episodes in, but i've yet to really laugh at anything in it.

I didn't like the first season of Arrested Development, but loved the second and third, so I'm willing to give 30 Rock a chance, but I also gave the Big Bang Theory two seasons to win me over and I regretted ever putting it on in the first place.

Does 30 Rock get any better or does it remain the same? Not really impressed at the moment, to be honest (but as I say, i'm still only three episodes in. That said, it honestly think it should only take one poor episode to introduce the cast, characters, etc. and get things rolling from episode two)?

    Cheers :)

It was 9 or 10 episodes before I started really enjoying it, I only stuck with it because Comedy Central were showing later episodes and I caught some of them, turned out they were from Season 4, but Season 1 does get a lot better towards the end.

I have only discovered it recently and I just can't get enough of it. It is possible the funniest, best written sitcom I have ever seen. I could watch it all day:D

agree, great show though it's gone a bit downhill in season 4. some episodes are hit & miss, i think but some great one-liners. hope season 5 is better.
