fruit farm

    was thinking of heading out for buy fruit, gooseberries in particular in sunnyside fruit farm. rathcormack direction. ii mentioned it to a friend who replied that she thought it had closed dowm . just wondering if this is the case and does anyone know of other f.f inthe cork area ?

    rang and spoke to mr. sunnyside. they are not selling fresh fruit any more as costs and weather were too much for them . but they are selling frozen fruit. strawberries raspberries gooseberries etc. he said most of it is not irish but the quality is very good and the prices lower. he is open every sat 2-5 pm

    You got that impression from the picture on the van I'd say!!!
    They did a large selection at one stage, all sorts of fruit and veg, maybe they've scaled down in recent years. Worth a try anyway.

    Kilcasan Castle in West Cork is a pick-your-own fruit farm - don't know if you'd be willing to travel that far though..
