Imported a car, went to VRO, reg'd and paid my €50 now heading for the tax office but can't find the receipt/slip issued by the VRO. What do I need to tax the car, just this slip? Will the VRO give me another copy? Cheers.

If you log onto motortax.ie and enter your reg and the pin you use is the last six digits of your chassis number you should be able to tax it online.
This will work 24 hours after registering the car.

Cheers, but car was reg'd in January... For some reason I had it in my head that the tax forms would be posted out to me, don't know why - I have imported before..

Just the tax form will do RF100

I registered my car on the 22nd Jan, but it's been no where. I got a reminder to tax it (and another RF100 enclosed) on the 15th March. :o

It's still not ready to roll, so I will get it done when it is.

They're not the real deal, they're new SSP replicas, but with a little time and elbow grease (and expensive caps) they can look almost as good.
