    Apologies if posted already.

Ryanair baggage fees will now be €20 in July and August instead of €15 and a 2nd bag is €40 instead of €35.

Can they seriously suggest the bag gets more difficult to handle in July and August?

Think I saw somewhere that this was their way of getting passengers to travel light. Less weight, less fuel i suppose would be the reasoning.

Airports are busier, more checked luggage, baggage halls are busier, space is at a premium, turnaround times may be longer.

I think they can justify it, not that they have to.

They just announced something like 200% profit, O'Leary got himself a €40m bonus, so in essence as long as people keep flying with them they can pretty much do as they wish.
