I had the idea of learning off quotes and exciting comments for the English composition on paper 1. My idea was as if I was in the stands at the Liverpool v Olympiakos match. For those who don't know about it, it was a very memorable moment in liverpool history back in 04.
Anyway, I was wondering if I learned off all that and wrote about the match itself, can I get full marks? Is this a good idea to do?

    Thanks.

It's usually good to learn off an essay or remember an essay that you wrote before, really handy for the exam so you don't have to think of something on the spot, you could change it a bit either so that it fits in with one of the topics.

    Hope this helps:)

I think you get more marks if what you write is related to the comprehension given in Section 1. But correct me if I'm wrong.

You can but it has to fit the title so chances are you'll have to change the story a little to make it work

i don't think you get extra marks if it has anything to do with the Reading

It's a great idea to prepare an essay and twist it to fit a topic. I've about 3 or 4 prepared so they should do me :D

I have one essay prepared, and I've used it for every essay since I started secondary school. It's quite easy to change to suit the title given.

Basically, it's my team winning the national cup on penalties, and I save the winning penalty.

Examples of recent titles I've used it for:
    1) "My Dad was so proud when he heard what I had done, it brought tears to his eyes".

    2) "In the spotlight." I just had the match on RTE.

    3) "The day started the same as any other, nobody could have known that by evening" I would have represented Ireland and I would be a national hero. This one has to be changed a lot, as it can't be the day of the national cup final. I set it during the U.16 European Championships. Ireland were in the final, having an open training session. I knew the goalkeeper coach and he asked me if I'd like to train with the Irish number one. He gets injured during training, I end up playing the match.

    4) Holiday. Same thing really. Just that we went to the Amsterdam Cup and make it that final.
