Thinking of buying Seat Leon 03/4/5 1.4. From what i've read alot of people seem to suggest that 1.4 is underpowered. Has anyone any experience with these. I'm early twenties so wary of going up to 1.6 because of insurance, but would if it worked out to be more economical. Thanks

They're crap engines and gearboxes, the 1.4 Golf of the same era had no end of trouble with them. Go for the 1.6.

There 1.4 is not a great unit. The insurance would not be that higher in the 1.6cc.
