Hairdresser for mixed race hair

Can anyone recommend a good hairdresser for mixed race hair or thick curly hair (not an afro hair salon)? I have been going to Toni & Guy on Clarendon St, but the hairdresser doesn't listen and cut my hair way too short with one side shorter than the other the last time! Can't afford the guy from Zoo, is there anyone else…
