    Okay well I need some urgent help. I need to give all the details.

    Lets say my name is John X (X being my last name). My parents recently got married and I took on my dad's last name Y.

    So now I have a double barrell name John X Y.

    I passed my theory test under this name. Unfortunately my birth certificate only only says "John X". I am afraid they will not take it as proof. Do they need my birth certificate? Or any form of identification? (I used HSE card as proof of identity for the theory test)
