    Hi all,
I just bought a '00 BMW E46 and can't for the life of me figure out how to display the on board computer (main reason is for the outside temperature reading).

All I can seem to do is reset the odometer, change the time, and reset the oil service interval.

There is no OBC button on the indicator stalk, but surely there is a way to access it!!!

Button is on the tip of the indicator stalk. Pressing this will scroll through the different computer displays. If you don't have this you may not have full trip computer.

Does it actually have an OBC? I thought it was an optional extra on the 3 Series back then.

Crap, I think you are right. - http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/equipment/Detail.aspx?deriv=15460#amount=18720&years=3

    That is a big disappointment....

Would it be difficult or expensive to retrofit one?
