    TDs & Senators allowances & expenses are now being published on-line;

    http://www.oireachtas.ie/parliament/tdssenators/parliamentarystandardallowance/
In line with the decision of the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission at its meeting of 28 April, 2010, records of allowance payments to Members of both Dáil and Seanad Éireann are now published to the website on a monthly basis.

April total for PSA Payments for

    TDS - 613k
    Senators - 174k

    Total 787,000 euro

That's over 3/4 of a million just to get these f*ckers in to work for one month.

They spend that much feeding Harney per month too.

Have they been forced to vouch for those expenses yet?

Well, that's the Harney joke out of the way nice & early.

It appears not - some have vouched, many of them haven't. The average seems to be around 2-3 grand each per month.

Holy sh1t - for one month?! Must have a look at the breakdown when get a chance.

They only have to submit receipts when it goes over 15k - isn't that crazy?

One of them (sorry I didn't catch who) on the radio earlier asking the media to give them a break on the expenses - they compared it to "A top broadcaster getting hassle about their salary, when people presume they only do 3 hours work a day - we do a lot of background work"

Yeah, but the broadcasters don't claim f*ing 3 grand a month on expenses you f*cks !

Where can I see the breakdown - is it published by TD yet?

It's interesting to compare the salaries of TDs and senators to the salaries of the British PM and members of the British Parliament (which were released recently).

Where can I see the breakdown - is it published by TD yet?

The breakdown per Senator is here; http://www.oireachtas.ie/documents/members/PSA_S20100430.pdf

    And for deputies; http://www.oireachtas.ie/documents/members/PSA_D20100430.pdf

    I've examined the deputies expenses & the biggest spenders during April were ;

    PJ Sheehan - €5,295.84

    Dinny McGinley - €5,233.84
    Jackie Healy-Rae - €5,233.84

    Jimmy Deenihan - €5107.84
    Tom Sheahan - €5107.84
    Niall Blaney - €5107.84
    Michael Moynihan - €5107.84

    Beverley Flynn - €5,045.84
    Ciaran Lynch - €5,045.84
    David Stanton - € 5,045.84
    Deirdre Clune - €5,045.84
    Simon Coveney - €5,045.84
    Noel Flynn - €5,045.84
    Paul Mc Grath - €5,045.84
    Pat Breen - €5,045.84
    Joe Carey - €5,045.84
    John Cregan - €5,045.84

I've marked in bold, those who "coincidentally" listed the exact same expenses to the cent. It's also remarkable, that they all end in 84cent.

    Other coincidences;

    7 deputies claimed exactly €4483.84

    3 deputies claimed exactly €4951.84

    3 deputies claimed exactly €4060.17

    4 deputies claimed exactly €4670.87

    3 deputies claimed exactly €4982.84

    8 deputies claimed exactly €4888.84

    10 deputies claimed exactly €3146.67

    17 deputies claimed exactly €2250.00

    7 deputies claimed exactly €1000.00

    16 deputies claimed exactly €1666.67

    I gave up after that.

Other interesting fact - only one deputy claimed less than €1000 - Mary White (€483.87).

The log in system by the way is another sick joke.

They log in to show attendance by the use of an electronic key fob. Grand you say?
Well they don't have to log out!

They can simply stroll in, pull out their key fob, swipe it so register that they were there on the day and then bugger off for the rest of the morning and subsequent day.
    Great stuff. LOL...

That was Fianna Fail Senator, Ivor Callely, who has been claiming overnight and travel expenses from a property owned by him in west Cork since he was appointed to the Seanad in 2007, even though he lives in Dublin.

In 2008 alone Senator Callely claimed more than €40,000 under the scheme
and has collected €81,015 since 2007.

    Sounds like a tabloid quote.

Thats because the new system is a flat rate payment. The country is divided into zones. So for example all representatives who live in zone 3 get the same PSA.

And there was me thinking that they were filling in their expense reports by cogging each others answers like you used to do in school with maths homework!!
