has anybody ordered marble tiles straight from spain?

    Hi,
    has anyone ordered marble floor tiles directly from spain?
    if so, was it much cheaper?
    and how exactly do you do it ...payments etc

    Yes, we got ours from Alicante Stone around three years ago. From memory I think it was something like 25% deposit by bank transfer with order, 50% when on the lorry and then 25% by cheque on delivery.

    I'm not sure the savings would be there now, to be honest, you may find local suppliers getting very close to the prices as long as you don't tell anybody about it.

    Whichever way you order bear in mind a crate of these tiles is HEAVY and you won't be moving it once the HIAB has dropped it off!

    do you know roughly how much you paid per sq/mt so I can compare prices?
