Tori Amos is playing Iveagh Gardens on July 16th.

Tickets, surprisingly , are still available.

so pissed off shes playing in a park.... open air don't work at all with intimate piano vibe...she has no backing band for this either i think.........did'nt bother getting a ticket...smells like a short set quick cash gig..........

Have you been to Iveagh gardens? I'm doubting you have from reading your post!

I agree. I'm not bothered with Tori Amos but if you're a fan it'd be a great place to see her.

Don't know where you're getting the 'short set quick cash' from stateofflux.

yea i have...its one the most beautiful public parks ive ever been in.... but imo outdoor and good piano acoustics don't mix....

the quick cash thing: i am always wary when the usual backing band is'nt with an artist as they have a fraction of the overhead/staff costs....

So you have absolutely no reason other than suspicion that she will play a short set?

Many artists tour solo these days out of necessity - they can't afford to bring a full band with them because ticket sales aren't what they used to be.

ye...in the past ive seen artists play solo and the set was shorter than when they had a backing band....of course that could have been for plenty of other reasons..:) ...but history colors opinions......

I understand cost cutting...but 45 quid is a bit steep to justify an outdoor (lower sound quality/may rain) solo performance with no usual backing band....if i paid i would feel a bit cheated personally....

£50 for Londons Abbey Theatre? Well that plan on going seeing her was short-lived.
