My beloved Nexus One was stolen around three hours ago in Dublin City Centre

Only bought it from Adverts last month too - http://adverts.ie/208661

If anyone sees one of these cheap, without charger, case etc, please let me know. I'll even offer reward to the honest person.

Am so p*ssed off as its was the best phone I'm had to date, and only just updated it to 2.2!

    Thanks for looking

    That is terrible :(

    How did it happen?

Do you by any chance have the IMEI number? Or did you ever connect your phone to your PC and use ADB or the like?

Think it was lifted from my jacket pocket last night

I didn't record IMEI, chap I bought it from is checking, it was configured to sync with my Google email and office email (activesync). I've rung Vodafone to disable sim, and changed my emails, twitter, facebook etc account passwords

Just realised I have a copy on my PC on the contents of the SD card taken a few weeks back, there is a nandroid backup directory with two sub folders and three .img files - is it possible to get IMEI from any of them, or another file on the SD card ?

It may be possible to extract it from a Nandroid backup. May be. I am not too sure but it may be very well possible.

Would you be willing to send me the Nandroid backup files for me to have a look at? PM of course.

Another perhaps easier way to find out the IMEI would be to ask the person you bought it from to take a look around for the box or receipt.

Another possibility would be that the phone serial number was recorded in a log on your computer if you ever used HTC Sync.

What about checking the activity information on Gmail? It'll tell you the IP address of any access to it.

For future reference you may want to get an app such as 'Where's my droid'. Was recommended to me when I got mine first.

Hard luck on it being stolen. The idiots that stole it prob don't even know what type of phone it is.

Wavesecure - remote lockdown, wipe, sim tracking etc.
Sorry to hear it was nicked. I hope you recover it.

That's useless though unless they're on WiFi.
