Jewish Patriotism In The German Army?

    Around 100,000 Jewish soldiers served in the German Army,12,000 died whilst over 30,000 were decorated for bravery,having seen some time back on a history channel programme(can't remember which) it referred that many German soldiers had a dislike for there Jewish counterparts and the question of patriotism cropped up.With the rough figures given above was patriotism ever really in question or were the German Military looking for a scape goat?

    Where are those figures from ?

    I remember years ago reading about the so called 'jew count' which was a census not just of the number of jews in the German army - but specifically of those at the front lines vs those at the rear or in officer positions.

    If I recall correctly this data was never published due to the feeling that it would create ill will.
