Solid Fuel or Oil Range/Stove

    Hi,
First post here so hope I get things right! I am looking for some advice here. Am thinking of selling my solid fuel range and buying an oil range/stove. At the moment we have oil central heating and a solid fuel range which doesn't heat our radiators much(too many radiators for the range).
In two minds now about changing to oil. Some people saying we would be mad and to just change to a solid fuel range/stove that will heat all those radiators.
Basically would like to hear your thoughts, which is more economical?Spent nearly 1000euro on fuel in last year plus nearly that on oil too.
