Laptop advice

    Hi guys,

Looking to buy a new family computer. Don't think i need anything high-spec just want something reliable, that will be speedy, and will last for a good few years. I don't think we need anything with a huge hard drive because it would be used for pretty basic purposes. Have been looking at laptops mostly because i have one for work and I think pc's take up a lot of room

However if you guys think a pc would be more suitable then I would consider it.

Budget: about €500. But would spend less if possible, I'm not looking to spend money for the sake of it.

Intended use: college work, internet, e-mail, Word processing, games, Itunes

    Mobility: mobility is not important.

Warranty: some sort of warranty would be good. Not sure if it is something that is common when buying laptops. Don't want to spend a lot of money if people don't think a warranty is necessary

What Operating System do you use? Windows based pc/laptop

    Thanks guys
