Maternity leave on CV?

    I have been working as a contractor for a number of years. In that time I've had two babies, so two big gaps in my CV. How should I record this on my CV?

    I want to avoid having unexplaned gaps on my CV, but I also don't want it to be glaring the person in the face. I'm on maternity leave at the moment, so based on the usual reverse cronological order this would be the first thing the person sees.

    Any suggestions would be greatly received.
