getting through the tough times?

    hi everyone!
I'll try and make this brief as possible: my boyfriend and I have known each other years but have only been properly going out for a year. He, like many, has been hit heavily by the economic situation to the point where it's affecting our relationship. He is in a lot of debt and is struggling to stay afloat with bills and mortgage (I am not living with him, therefore not under the same pressure).
He is becoming more withdrawn and our sex life is suffering. I don't want to pressurize him but I'm not sure what I should do? We were doing great but as pressure has got worse over the past few months, our sex life has got quite bad and he is understandably sensitive about it too when I bring it up, although he does listen. I love him very much and am very attracted to him, but lately it feels like I am the only one making the effort. I don't want to be selfish, but I worry about it! How can I make him feel better about himself? I don't mind going through a 'dry spell' but I feel pretty helpless.

Would love to hear from anyone who has got through the tough times in a relationship especially under financial strain and sexual drought? I imagine I'm not alone! x
