    hi
    supposed to be doing cork next monday ,but just back from doc with very bad tonsilitis on antibiotics and pain killers and feel like iv been hit by a truck very bad cramping in lower leg.the doc says ill be fine by next monday . any advice welcome on what should i do

    always go by your Doc, If he says you will be fine then thats good news...

    Wait and see how you feel. No point in making a decision today. If you still don't feel well by the weekend, you need to give the matter serious consideration. A marathon (run at optimal marathon pace) puts a lot of strain on the body and there are plenty more marathons around.

    If you're not happy with the doctor's prognosis, you should get a second opinion. I don't think anyone will advise you to go ahead if you're not feeling well. That would be both disastrous, and potentially litigatious.

    My advice is to listen to him.
