Get Tesco car insurance for my wife and honestly it's very cheap than the other insurance company, but the problem is It took two months to get the insurance disc (They're too slow) and worst thing is the car details is not the car We're driving too.

Buy a punto in March and insured to tesco but a week after that we sell it and buy yaris thne I rang tesco to change it, But last week We get all the documents and the car on the insurance still the punto which clearly now that We're driving the Yaris un insured for 2 months. I called them and they said they don't have it on their system and the only thing they can do now is to change the details that's it. They don't even bother When I keep asking them what is accident happened to us during the 2 months that the car on the policy is not the car We're driving and the woman ask the manager and She said the manager said that's all they can do just to change the details today only.

When dealing with insurers by phone or online allways get confirmation by fax or email.

I have to agree... it is the insured person responsibility to have insurance, and check the details are correct.

didn't mean to sound dissmissive.. just that I am sure they would have done the "he isn't insured with us???!!!*" thing if you had have had a bump or something.

I hope you get it sorted... Ithink generally they are a good compnay - I know in the UK my brother is with them.

I am not as I think there is a "3 year" residency rule... IIRC.

not anymore, RSA took it over at the begining of March, the change over might have added to the confusion. With most insurance companies the phone calls are all recorded so if you did have an accident, they would have to check the call recording for the original call, when that confirms the car that should have been on cover, they would have to pay out as its the companies error

That's what I'm talking about, the record phone call during the time when I call to change the car details because We're in title that time for €40 refund because of downgrading the engine size but since now It was 2 months ago they said they can only change the details from now (not way back 2 months ago) so now We're not in title for a refund too.
