    Hi all,

Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide to syncing my google calendar with the iphone calendar without messing with my contacts on the phone?

    Thanks a lot!

Great, I've got it almost sorted.

If I leave it alone now, my google calendar is set to the default calendar on the iphone. So, when I add "get bread" to my iphone, it doesn't actually store that entry on the iphone.. it writes it to the default google calendar instead of the iphone one.. right?

Does that mean that if the google calendar becomes unavailable for any reason, I'll be left with no calendar entries on my phone?

Is there any way to have the iphone send the entries on the default iphone calendar to my default google calendar?

What way do the experts here recommend I set things up?

I used these instructions and it works perfectly. Events are stored on both the phone and on Google Calendar, and synced automatically.

    Thanks all,

I must be doing something odd. I followed the instructions but I messed with the default calendar setting.

Could you check for me, when you've run the setup from the above instructions, does the iphone then default to adding entries to your main gmail calendar?

Im not explaining myself very well, but when I set it up, and added new items to my calendar on the phone, they come up with a little dot beside them that says they're entries to my google calendar.

Now I can still see them on the phone because the phone is reading from the google calendar and its own calendar anyway.

Its just that now when I tap the button that says show me the iphone only calendar, these new entries arent there.

If I change the default calendar in iphone settings to my iphone calendar, the phone reads any new entries I made in work on the google calendar but the iphone calendar entries dont show on the google calendar.

    Clear as mud :o Sorry..
