    Is it too late to sow potatoes in grow bags?

    not too late at all for spuds in grow bags, just means you will have them later in the year..the reason that spuds are planted out in march/april is to get them harvested before the wet cool weather can rot them in the soil- not such a problem in grow bags, blight also becomes more prevalent as the year goes on but again not such a bother with grow bags.

    I sowed potatoes around this time last year, could have been the last week of May in sacks and they were great. I sowed Pentland Javelin which are new potatoes. You can sow potatoes in August that should be ready for the Christmas dinner.
