was in mc guirks today had a few vouchers from the golf society i play with and bought one of the swing trainers .anyone have one and if so do you think they are much help ?
i recently went for a lesson and the pro changed my grip slightly so thought it would help in getting used to the grip and getting the swing right again

I personally really like these, but only the full length club ones - not the stubby ones with the weight on the end.

This is the one that I have and I like the grip aspect and the fact that it swings like a real club - albeit feeling 6-times heavier than the average 6-iron as it says in the ad.

The added weight promotes the concept of a single joined-up motion between your body and arms, whereas a normal (lighter) club allows you to swing in a more 'arms-only' and disconnected fashion.
