    I was asked to check the standard of English, spelling, grammar etc. in a CV for an Italian friend of mine. When I was going through her CV though I noticed that she was really selling herself short. She has done some pretty good stuff workwise but it really isn't coming through on her CV.

    As she only asked me to check the spelling and grammar and all that should I just do as she asked and keep my mouth shut or tell her her CV needs a bit more work?

    She's a friend of yours, right?
    Turn it around. Wouldn't you want to be told? Wouldn't you be annoyed if they didn't tell you and you subsequently found out?
    Do the right thing and best of luck with it.

    You're hardly going to hurt her feelings by telling her that she's being too modest.
