Like the title says I'm looking in to travelling around ireland for a bit of the summer. On my holidays at the minute and have nothing planned but I'm a bit strapped for cash so thought going around Ireland would do the job! Not very exciting I know! :o Anyone think this is a good or bad idea? anyone done it before?

Id say it prob be cheaper to go abroad. How many nights are you going for.Hotels, travel, food ,drink is all expensive here. A weekend here will put a big dent in the phoca

I agree. Ireland is mad expensive for eating out 2 /3 times daily. Think you would be better off trying to get a cheap holiday in a cheap country

It's possible to get away with Ryanair for less than the cost of petrol to get you the West coast of Ireland, so I would look into going abroad if I were you. Went on a break in Galway last year and was quite expensive, with little fun compared to what you'd get on a real getaway.

If you haven't been there I'd recommend London. There are a lot of good, cheap hotels that I know of, and the city is superb :)
