    Trust it?

I can confirm that I got this in Athlone last weekend (+15% extra off)

Hooked it up to existing sky dish and worked straight away.

Interface is a bit crappy compared to sky, but quality of the channels is exceleent

Can you get the receiver on its without the dish ? Is there a separate price for it?

What exactly does this do? Just pick up the exact same channels as sky but in HD?

Anyone know where I'd get a list of the stations available via this?

I have one, And there's a massive thread on here about it,

It picks up only 3 HD channels at the moment all the Free to air one, Which are BBC HD, ITV 1 HD and Luxe HD.

For the price, I'm amazed the quaility of BCC and ITV HD is brilliant, And wired up to the TV in my room( 1440 x 900 resolution ) it's crisp and alot more detailed.

It took me about ten minutes to set up, Due to the fact getting up to my chinmey without a ladder wasn't easy. If you have sky and a quad LNB ( You should be able to see 3 hold next to the wire connecting into the dish ) it will only take you a few minutes to get up and running, If not you'll have to mount and allign the dish which I have done before, It's not the quickest process, But using one of these speeds it up!

Got this one in Homebase last week and returned it cause the interface was shocking. Flicking through channels is a nightmare. Wouldn't go near it. Ended up going for an offical Freesat box. Humax HD, far superior box. Has a 7 day epg and red button features.

How many threads are there now about these boxes and dishes?!

TBH, if you use a lidl/aldi one you have the same issues.. And this is very cheap for a HD one, How much did you pay for an official Freesat HD box and did it include dish etc?

    Cheers.
Not a massive amount of stuff on there you'd watch.
3 stations in HD is really all that would suit someone who has a Sky dish (Sky Sub cancelled) already installed.

I picked mine up in Cork last May, they had a lot of them there then, So I can't see why they still wouldn't have some.

Am using a Sky+ Box with no sub card inserted at the moment - anyone advise on whether this is a better option - would I get more free TV Channels?

    - To be honest our "Favourite Channels" (Blue Button) isn't working for some reason (No sub card? can't seem to work out why this is ) so its a real pain to Channel surf as so many are on the EPG but not viewable etc.

Finally - As I already have a Sky Dish on my Chimney can anyone advise on the Humax type Box mentioned above re. prices and so on?

Was also considering the below as it seems to have just about everything I need in one package - Digital Terrestrial TV + recordable, pausable Freesat - Thread is here......

it does give you the bbc hd and itv1 hd, doesn't have tv guide, only now and next info. Does record and timeshift to usb but doesn't work so well all the time. Find it locks up the odd time and its awkward

tv cards are great if you can put up with the media centre/pc by the tv.... more complicated set up
