Changing brake pads - Peugeot 307

I changed the front brake pads on my Peugeot 307 today.

I removed the right front wheel and found the pads to be worn so changed them and bled them.

Then I removed the left front wheel but found that the pads were still in good nick. I left these as is.

Is it recommended that both sides be changed at once.
Is it unusual to only change one side?

You should change both.. what are the rotors like?

always change both. Otherwise you'll have uneven ware!

Uneven wear could be a sign of one side not working as well as it should, or the other side having a problem causing excessive wear.

I agree... if one of the rotors is lipped or scored it will wear the pads down quicker. Or if it is thin - due to heat.

Of course there is a very slim chance... someone only changed one set in the past.
