P90 Magazine Reliability

I'm helping my brother choose his first airsoft gun. He's looking to get a CA P90 Sportsline.

But I've heard that P90 mags can jam easily because they feed horizontally rather then vertically like other magazines. I was just wondering if this is true?

I'd like to hear about some other people's experiences with a P90 and how reliable the mag is.

It all depends on the brand of magazine. The only hi cap magazines that are in anyway reliable are the TM ones but they're still a bit finicky sometimes. I've heard the best way to go is MAG 170rd mid caps. I haven't used these myself but I have some ordered.

Its a great gun, lovely mag system in my opinion. Mine do miss feed but never jam. Your best bet i find the mids for it which is tricky or go with low caps. However the Hi-caps are not as bad as they are made out to be. It depends on your BB choice, you need smooth BB's either excel or G&G BB's work fine and i so very very rarely get any problems with the mag using them. I would advise G&G there 14 euro I think for 5000 in Hobby Airsoft (ill accept your thanks later ricka ;)) which is really great value for seamless BB's

Keep em lubricated and you'll have very few problems. A small squirt of silicone, half fill, shake, fill remainder, wind.

Going to have to agree with Evade, i have those mid caps with my sportsline P90 and they are brilliant! they feed flawlessly!
