Hair Straighteners

    I have quite thick hair which is naturally wavy. I at the moment use a Remington Model S8200 which are a wet to straight straightener pictured below:

    Someone said to me, I should use GHD's, would a GHD offer much more than I have now? The advantage for me with the one I use now is that it is big so can handle my thickish hair quite well.

    Any advice please?
