Where should I stay for a week in Sligo? Are there any recommendations? I like peace, quiet, access to shops, and the train station. Are there any affordable places with water views? bill

I highly recommend Pearse Lodge it's a bed and breakfast less than ten minutes walk from the town, the shops and the river. It's great value, the owners are lovely and the food and quality of the rooms are actually better than a hotel. It's far enough out of the town to be peaceful but close enough so you can walk there.
