Only problem I found with the Jumbo Tranny's is they are too easy to overload and have the suspension on its stops. Aftermarket air suspension kit can aid this or get a DRW twin-wheel which has a substantially larger load capacity. Larger transits can suffer from gearbox/clutch problems, mainly from overloading. Another common problem is the EGR valve become clogged or failing, well known fault and easy to diagnose and fix.

New Mercs go through injectors like no tomorrow. €600 a pop too. Transits are known for rust, but Sprinters are much worse. Cab in the Merc is nicer, more reminiscint of a car, but the new Transit is much improved on the old one.

i drive an 07 transit and its nice to drive but the merc/vw has a longer load length which would suit but it looks like it rides lower to the ground and has smaller wheels Is this an optical illusion
