    Oh dear GOD!

Maybe piracy is the cause of all this unoriginal drivel that is currently coming out of tinseltown....

They'll be in that vicious circle for a while to come :pac:

The OP for one, I do believe he called the spoof movie series including Epic/Date, etc the epitome of cinematic quality.

There was me thinking that this was a final year film class spoof or something.

This is an ACTUAL MOVIE coming out?

Never heard of it. Didn't watch the full trailer. Still don't care.

I worked in a cinema for years and sadly the answer to this is a sh1t load of people, these films make a lot of money. Admittedly its demographic seems to be a very specific person of, shall we say, limited intellectual scope but they come in droves so these terrible movies are still being made.

It's kills me that movies like this killed the genre. I still think aeroplane and hot shots series are two of the best in the last couple of years!

It's creepy how much some of the actors look and sound like the well-known actors they're portraying (Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill etc)

Seriously, arent spoof movies supposed to be spoofs of non-comedies?

Doing a spoof of already funny movies is fookin retarded

The Jonah Hill on is slightly spooky alright. Must be a grim situation when you're answering casting calls for "PERSON WHO LOOKS LIKE JONAH HILL".

I hope this isn't a wide release. It looks like straight-to-DVD schlop.

I'd also like to point out that anyone who says anything positive about this film when it's released is banned :p

    Couple of years?

I actually have seen this. It's worse than you think. Not as bad as Disaster Movie or Meet the Spartans though, if only because it actually attempts to have a story as opposed to a series of unfunny scenes for no real reason.

I don't know why I make myself watch these things. I think it's a morbid fascination. I have a box set of movies by Ozu I should be watching for god's sake! i have a problem.

The trailer actually got the name of the movie wrong and referred to it as the 40 year old virgin not the 41 year old virgin. Fail.

Airplane! was made in 1980 and Hot Shots in the early 90s. As for this shiote, well we are free to ignore it and possibly console ourselves by thinking that the money might have been spent on something like a Sex and the City sequel. Oh wait...:(

For a quality movie like that?! I don't think so! No, I predict straight to blu-ray.

I already have The 40-Year-Old Virgin on DVD, and it's a very good film, so why would I want to watch something like this?

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

I'm not going to lie. I did laugh at some of the Seth Rogen-gang parodies. However, I'm guessing the trailer is as funny as it gets.

i choose to think of it that maybe i could get my foot in hollywood's door; this type of film seemingly is written over a pint on a napkin! Surely I (and you and everyone else in this thread) could write something at least of similar quality, if not better!)

from our PoV it's trash but a lot of people do enjoy it, sure a lot of TV shows don't get the recognition they deserve, but sure as my niece's teacher would say "people are idiots" :D

live and let live, and try not to get too angry about it!!!
