Yeah it was def worth watchin, pity a Wildlife Programme isn't done on the Deer in Ireland, the hybridisation of the deer in wicklow would make interesting viewing. does anyone know if such programme was ever done?

I've been waiting years for a programme like that. Seen nature programmes about bats, bears, tigers, meerkats, parasites that live on midges testicles, you name it  Never a fox in sight!

    But, that was a gem.

I wrote to RTE - some time ago  - asking if this programme would be repeated, put on RTE player, or made available by some other means.

Here's the reply I got... Just in case anyone is interested...

    "Dear John

That is an acquired programme so we would not have the rights to produce a copy, and it is not available on the RTÉ player.

    The distributor details are below:-

    Parthenon Entertainment

    Parthenon House,

    5 Station Approach

    Chorleywood WD3 5PF

    Kind Regards"

I've emailed them to see if the series, or individual episodes are available to the great unwashed.

Got my reply, 'fraid the documentary isn't available to the public.

    Boo Hiss.

    "Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately the series/individual episodes of Planet Wild is not available to the general public.

    Kindest regards,"

T'was worth a try . Keep your eye out on BLIGHTY 534 on sat, there was a great programme about the urban foxes in England, I had caught the end of it, too late to let anyone on boards know about it but the programmes repeat themselves every couple of weeks so you might catch it;).

Ara I dunno, had satellite channels before. Once you have them around a year, all you're watching is repeats - and still paying for them!

I have watched every episode of Ray Mears and the other Lou-der Bear Grylls
Ray Mears taught me a lot about bushcraft, and Attenbouragh taught me a lot about animals
