Fixie conversion! Are you mad? Where are you based?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73 ✭✭Velo Bro

Not mad, well not clinically just have another couple of road bikes and an MTB commuter so could do with the space.

I'll offer €100 which is way below the market value but might get the ball rolling for better offers.

How big is it? I'm 6' 3" and am looking for a starter bike as I can't afford to go in and pay crazy money for a new one...

Hey TheWhelo I think this bike would be far too small for you.

Thanks for the offer Pigeon-Reaper was hoping for more!! not much more though.

    Cheers

Columbus Aelle was the entry level tubing then all right, roughly equivalent to Reynolds 501.
I'd say 120 -150 is fair but it's a niche market for retro fans.
    If you're selling a a fixie project €50 TBH

Hey folks, I was looking for €150 and reckon it would be worth that even for a commuter as there is still plenty of life in it.

If anyone wants it for that let me know. It has a Cat Eye computer and clip on mudguards in the picture are not part of the sale price.

    Cheers

What's the problem with the rear wheel?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,696 ✭✭✭trad

    Is it still for sale?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73 ✭✭Velo Bro

Hi Trad, apologies for the delay in responding. The axle is broken and will need to be replaced. It is rideable but will need to be done sooner rather then later.
    It is still for sale.

    Cheers
