Advent 4212 webcam driver required urgently

    Hi
    Reloaded o/s from the partition and would you believe there is no driver for the built in web camera. I think its manufactured by sonix but does anyone out there have this driver? Perhaps it could be emailed to me.
    The netbook is an advent netbook 4212. I did try the website but no joy. Then went to the techguys website but they dont have the driver here either.

    do msi make some of the advent laptops, might be worth checking their website, msi wind is the netbook

    This model is made by Ecs. Tried there also. Did read webcam made by sonix to which I have just registered to download drivers. Problem is that I am not sure which driver is required for the webcam.

    Don't know if it's any help, but I have a 4213 and the webcam comes up as "USB Video Device". I read somewhere it is hardwired onto the USB chipset. I think Windows Update will recognise it OK. I'll have a look to see if I can find the original drivers.
