Buying a house in mullingar looking for advice on first offer

    Hi I am currently looking to buy a house in mullingar and the asking price is 170,000. I am not sure how low is too low to go in for first offer. Seeing as how house prices are still dropping. The house does not have pvc windows and needs some work, cosmetic. Really like house but dont want to overpay but just not sure what to offer any advice??

    There's a forumn called the property pin (thepropertypin.com) that will be able to give you a reasonable estimate of the house price. Just be prepared for the users to call you mad for even thinking about buying instead of renting.

    What area of Mullingar is the house in, 3 bed or 4 bed?
