Buckled Wheels - anyone know a GOOD specialist?

Have a problem with my Volvo V70 thats been driving me bananas for a while now.

I have a vibration in the wheel and throughout the car as if the wheel balancing was off. The car also wears on the outside & the inside of the tyres (as if not enough air in tyres). Once or twice I've noticed that the inside wall of the tyres was worn down so much that the metal wires were poking through!

I would go through tyres fairly regularly due to this issue, mainly because they are wearing on the outer side though.

I've had the tyres balanced, alignment done and even had the wheels sorted for buckles with Collinswood Engineering in Bray - but I still have the same problem. Someone then told me it was possibly the brake discs - so changed all of these with new pads and the same problem ARRGGHHH!!

Anyone any idea? I was going to buy a new set of alloys and tyres, but am concerned that might not be the problem - ideally I'd like to get another set of good alloys and put them on the car to see whether I have the same problem.

Anyone any ideas? know where I could get a loan of a set of 4 wheels to fit a 05 V70, or even know a specialist crowd that could tell me exactly what the problem is?

Oh, I commute 100miles every day from Gorey to Dublin - and a good bit around the country etc.

I have a similar issue with my S40 where the inside of both front tyres were worn almost down to the wire after only 6 months. Like you had the tracking, tyres balanced, rotated them, etc. Had the car in recently with the dealer for an inspection and the problem has been identified as worn left and right wishbone lower arm bushings. Uneven wear on the outside of the tyre would normally point to incorrect tyre pressure so you might want to check what Volvo advise is the correct tyre pressure.

My advice would be to have your suspension inspected before spending anymore money.
