    Hi all,

For a while I've been sharing out my music etc.. folders on my Ubuntu PC so I can listen to them on my wife's laptop. All working well but I've to have the Ubuntu machine turned on all the time

    Pluscom Enclosure

So I bought a nas enclosure and plugged it into my wireless Netopia router thinking that it would be picked up, but its not. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Its plugged into one of the network connection on the router with RJ45

Also does anyone know when Super Os is going to be updated to 10.04?

    Thanks for al the help
    Joe

Ubuntu 10.04? It's released!, Clue's in the release number 2010.04 (meaning April!) ;)

As for your hard drive thingy, is it formatted and everything? Maybe try the USB connection if possible.

Thank you BopNiblets for your reply

I was of course refering to Super Os and not the normal release. The clue and lets all pay attention here was when I said "Super Os"

And your solution for the net work problem was inspired. Truly

Have you checked the router to see if the NAS is assigned an IP?
There should be a "Registered clients" list in there some where
If so what happens when you try to mount the NAS?

    PS:Release date for Super OS

The item description says that "when enabled", it can stream files via upnp.
Out of the box, it just does ftp.
Read the manual, and look out for how to configure it.
I'd suggest you start by following skrynesaver's advice and check your router for the IP address of the NAS.
Putting that address in a browser location bar will probably be enough to get you to the control panel.
