I got a brochure and a letter about the BA Connect in NUIG today, so I guess that means they still haven't decided the mature applicant places.

Yes, I applied for BA Connect with Children Studies. It seems to be getting very late in the year for interviews??

I am wondering will there even be interviews.
Maybe it's just based on the test and your application?

I opted for Childrens Studies first choice then chose a regular BA next and just got offered the GY101 Arts place on Mature Students grounds . . no interview done. I got offered the place on the basis of my application and the test . . I just did a FETAC Childcare course and passed with all distinctions and eventually would like to do Primary Teaching through Arts. . Anyone else in the same situation as me? I had really written off the course though as I didnt think there was any chance I got a place in it! Now im completely thrown! I dont know what would be the best subjects to select to broaden my horizons for primary teaching. . Has anyone any thoughts??

The BA Connect courses ROCK! The classes are very small and you develop a very close relationship with your instructors. Makes it difficult to 'not show up for class' if there are only ten students ;)

I would suggest Psychology - even if it is just for first year. A friend of mine chose it last year and loved it.

    Best of luck, and congratulations!
