Does it mean anything if you get your AC pass letter less than two days after doing the AC? Or is this just the normal? And does it mean anything if you get your medical date straight away too?

If this year was being run like previous campaigns I would say the quick pass and medical would be a very good sign. However , this year is quite different and I think it unwise ( and potentially dissappointing ) to read too much into the speed of medicals , etc.
An awful lot of folks have pass letters but as previously stated that counts for nought , people have in previous campaigns got pass letters and medicals but nonetheless did not progress any further into the merit list.

I agree. I have my pass letter. it arrived two days after I did my ac, but I really dont think its any kind of a sign that I aced the ac. Lots of people pass the ac, get medicals & vetting, but dont "get the call". I feel we all still have a lot of waiting to do.

I agree, it is way to easy to get excited at different stages of the process! Non the less, there is a real sense of achievment to have passed both Deloitte stages. I think the figures are 9100 having applied, then that number was cut down to 4000 from the IST and then they need to further trim from 4000 to 1200 for the pool of suitable candidates.

The IST and AC are not easy at all and I am sure there are candidates out there that passed the IST easily and then flunked the AC. I am sure there aren't too many jobs that employ role playing in thier interviews!

I have just remembered that this thread is about medical forms, so I apologise to the purests for my digress.

What are you referring to when you say this year is quite different?

The huge difference this year compared to previous years is , in a word , speed !
To my knowledge there has not been a campaign in the recent past where people were getting Pass letters 2 days after the AC - last year if you heard back within a month you were happy , similarly the speed with which folks have been getting Vetting and medicals is also very unusual.

Obviously the good aspect to this is that there is a lot less waiting around to haunt the postman but I cannot help feeling that there is a major pressure to get applications processed so whereas last year getting vetting forms was a very good sign I am reluctant to attach as much importance to it this year.
Has anyone noticed how few people have got Dear John letters ? My own belief is that some folks with pass letters will not have scored high enough to get into the merit pool , or in otherwords they passed but not well enough.

It does seem a strange process where you can be told you have passed but some time later be told that your score is too low to advance you further- the acid test is where you stand on the merit listing and that cannot become available until all AC's are completed.

Very clear concise remark. Makes a lot of sense!

Has anyone got a "Dear John" letter?

Just send away vetting wondering if anyone knows how long until medical letters send out usually?
