    Hi All,
My hen is organised for the 19th Jun in Kinsale as this is the date and location that suits everyone. My bridesmaids and myself have been looking for accommodation for 15 people but we think we've left it too late as everywhere is booked up. Can anyone recommend anywhere in Kinsale that may have availability (that we may not have checked or known about), a self catering house would be ideal.
Failing that, can anyone recommend somewhere in Cork for my hen- Kinsale fitted the bill as it wasn't too big but had plenty of places to eat and drink and the option of watersports...
any suggestions or help would be great, thank you!

    hiya
I had booked to go to Kinsale but its now changed to kenmare. We had basically booked Houses attached to one of the hotels (won't mention the name) and it turns out that if one guest didn't make it I would be liable for their cost for the nights, so that turned me off!! So, were heading to Kenmare. Have a fantastic house rented out which will sleep us all and its huge and works out way cheaper. In relation to Kinsale, I made lots of other calls after I cancelled the first place and no one was interested in Hens, even though its not like we were going to wreck the place! I didn't say "hen" - just said a group of friends....but the long and the short of it is with all the holiday homes there I couldn't find one to take us! But, just google self catering and go-ireland and those various sites and you might get lucky!! Best of luck with it.

How about Clonakilty? Not far away and lots of good pubs and restaurants. As far as I know there are two clubs there though not 100% sure.

Actons is a great place to stay, good bar food.

Did you try Blindgate House? http://www.blindgatehouse.com/index1.asp

It's a real nice purpose built guesthouse. Stayed there a while back & thought it was great. No idea about availability for your dates but they'd be worth a ring.

Try The White House. It's a guest house rather than a hotel so there is no resident bars but it is in the center of town. Also be aware that the rooms are up quite a steep stairs so it mightn't suit if there are people with mobility problems in your group.

However the rooms are lovely, the staff are really nice and the food is excellent.
