Leave copy of email on server

What setting is there on the iPhone to leave a copy of emails I receive on the mail server. In advanced settings I have selected Never in Delete from Server, yet the emails are disappearing as soon as I get them on an iPhone. When I get them with a Nokia N97, they stay on the server so it's something about the iPhone

I think you need to confiure that on your email client part.

In gmail its "Settings" "Forwarding Pop/IMAP"

You thenl tell gmail what to do when the email is acccessd via POP or IMAP
